Tingwen Reader Terms of Service
Welcome to Tingwen Reader. By using Tingwen Reader, you acknowledge and agree to the following terms.
1. The Service
Tingwen Reader provides on-device book import, reading, text-to-speech, custom voices, and subscription-based features. Available features may change as the app is updated.
2. User Content
You are responsible for ensuring that you have the legal right to use any books, audio, text, or custom voices you import. You may not use Tingwen Reader to infringe copyrights, voice rights, privacy, reputation, or any other legal rights.
3. Custom Voices
Record or import only your own voice or a voice you are authorized to use. You may not use this feature to impersonate or mislead others, or to create illegal, fraudulent, harassing, infringing, or otherwise inappropriate content.
4. Subscriptions and Payments
Users without a subscription receive 30 minutes of the advanced model each day and may continue listening with the basic model after that allowance is used. Sharing a book once can add 30 minutes of advanced-model listening time. A paid subscription unlocks unlimited use of the advanced model. Pricing, billing period, renewal, and cancellation terms are shown by the Apple App Store. You can manage or cancel your subscription from your Apple ID subscription settings.
5. Local Data and Backups
Books, progress, temporary content, and custom voices are primarily stored on your device. You are responsible for backing up important files. Uninstalling the app may delete locally stored data.
6. Prohibited Conduct
- Using Tingwen Reader to process or distribute illegal, infringing, or malicious content.
- Circumventing subscriptions, free allowances, or other access controls.
- Reverse engineering, modifying, attacking, or abusing Tingwen Reader or related services.
7. Disclaimer
Tingwen Reader is provided as is. We work to improve stability and listening quality, but we cannot guarantee error-free or uninterrupted operation across every device, text, audio source, and network condition.
8. Changes to These Terms
We may update these terms when the product or applicable requirements change. Updated terms will be published on this page.
